Welcome to the newest online destination for news and views related to the newspaper industry.

Readapaper.com launched more than a year ago as a directory of newspapers and other media spots on the Web, but has since grown. The reference section is now at readapaper.com/reference and will be updated constantly. If you have links that should be listed, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The site currently features work from a small group of industry veterans, but we are hoping to add more. Readapaper.com is looking for people interested in writing news about the industry and opinions on related topics. If you have a blog, or would like to produce one featured on our site, let us know. For now, read what This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it thinks about the industry. He writes about newspapers at -30-. In his debut column, Augustus asks why all the bad news as 2009 wraps up? His second column took a look at the wave of industry layoffs from the perspective of the executive signing off on those decisions.

Also, keep up on the industry stocks in Stock Talk.

The collection, In the news, monitors top headlines from the day's front pages. This feature is matched with a "Front Page of the Day."

The site also retains the reference material that it began with, at readapaper.com/reference. That portion of the site includes directories to newspapers, broken down by daily, weekly, college and specialty publications by state. The reference section also includes a directory of industry blogs and other Web sites.

This site is new, and growing, so look for much more to be added soon.
